Hey Dutchie, did you notice I gave my bird an eye in this challenge? Not the best, but I tried.

Such nice jobs everyone. Can't tell you how much I enjoy what you all come up with for your layouts.

Here's my take. Using Anja's template as a visual guide, I took advantage of the photos I took at the Chihully Exhibition and created photo elements for the shapes. I even use hand-blown glass tendrils for the flourishes!

Love your layout and photos Barb. Especially nice with that cheery flower basket in middle!

Vicki what a wonderful job of extracting and placing your new friends! Super layout and journaling.

Thank you Dawn - your LO is super, Barbara - well done. The focal photo, in the frame is a technique that Chihully and his team are well known for. That is actually ONE blown glass sculpture. When this one was made, each of the stacked 'baskets' was in the process of being hand-blown at the same time. Under Chihully's direction, each is attached into the larger unit as it is still being formed and the glass is still molten. Chihully Directs not only the placement, but the final finish of the outer basket form and decides when it is complete. I would love to see the choreography involved in putting something like this together. My brother and I watched two glass blowers create a vase in two parts in Chihully's unique style. It took over an hour as they formed and reformed each section. Just as the two were attached and hollowed into a single vase, the whole thing bobbled and crashed into thousands of pieces. It was heart-breaking. This glass 'basket' filled with other glass 'baskets' is almost incomprehensible to imagine how it came to be - and there were several of them on display.
